In 1969, LaJuana toured with the Weatherford quartet as a musician. Vocalist Bill Wagner was with the group at that time. A prolific writer, many of his original songs were sung by the Weatherfords.

In late ’69, LaJuana left the quartet to rejoin her own family group and return to the road in ministry. In the early 70s, The Murphy Family recorded Wagner’s song, “The Ransomed One.”

In this recording, produced by Larry Benson of Benson Sound Studios, Robert Murphy sings the lead. He is joined by his sister, LaJuana, dad Bill and mother Ila, to produce the 4-part quartet harmony.
