"Why Can't Ev'ry Day Be Christmas"  was originally written and recorded by LaJuana in 1984 ... as part of the Christmas musical, "A Greater Celebration."

While involved in the music department of Grace Lutheran Church in Pocatello, Idaho,  members of the Praise Team that LaJuana ministered with decided that she needed to record this track again!

So, at their insistance, LaJuana used the services of a small, local studio to record this song.  Ken Medley ... instrumentalist with the Grace group ... did a beautiful job laying down the alto sax tracks.  Percussion was supplied by Bob Prestwich, drummer for Grace Praise Team.

For a time, "Why Can't Ev'ry Day Be Christmas" can be downloaded from this site for FREE.  Please enjoy, and have a "Merry Christmas" all year long!

LYRICS

(Verse 1)

Why Can’t Ev’ry Day be Christmas

When children’s faces glow

Why can’t ev’ry day, we find a way

To let some kindness show

Why can’t we always be

Quick to spread a word of cheer

Jesus didn’t come, to fill our hearts with love

Only one day of the year.

(Verse 2)

Why Can’t Ev’ry Day Be Christmas

A time we give and share

Why can’t ev’ry day, along the way

We show someone, we care

Why can’t we live in harmony

Learn to trust and not to fear

Jesus didn’t come, so we would get along

Only one day of the year.

(Bridge)

The angels sang, their chorus rang

Of peace, goodwill t’ward men…

Yet, all year long … we forget their song

‘Till it’s Christmas time again.

(Ending Verse)

Why Can’t Ev’ry Day Be Christmas

Why can’t the spirit last

Why can’t friends be true the whole year thru’

And all our strife be past

Why can’t we, always be

Quick to spread that word of cheer

Jesus didn’t come, to fill our hearts with love

Only one day of the year.

(End …) No, He didn’t come

To fill our hearts with love

For just this one day of the year.
